July Reads

Summer readin’, had me a blast. The month of July is almost over, meaning summer is slowly drawing to a close. With the amount of free time I now have, I managed to read 4 books this month and they were all AMAZING. I loved every single one of them. Below are the books I read this month, along with a very short review of them. 1. Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli (5/5)  I absolutely loved this book. I thought it was an incredible story of accepting the fact that you are gay and being PROUD of it, rather than trying to cover it up or “fit in.” A lot of the book is written in the form of emails between Simon and this mystery guy whom he is in love  with. The guy goes to Simon’s school and they’re in the same grade, however, he doesn’t want…

June Reads

I’m going to be trying this new thing where I’ll review and rate the books I read every month and let you guys know if they’re worth the read! I’ll try it out for a while and if you guys like these types of posts, comment below! There will be no spoilers, so don’t worry! This month I read 3 books (I could’ve read more but exams were taking up my time haha): Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse  Andrews Where’d you go, Bernadette by Maria Semple 1. Inspiration center

I’m a huge fan of quotes. When I have some time or when I have nothing else to do, I’ll go online and search for some of the most famous or inspirational quotes. I can spend hours doing this. With each quote I find, I’m even more inspired. Sometimes, if I find a really good quote, I’ll just sit there at my desk completely in awe of the quote. Some leave me speechless. Some leave me thinking. Some leave me sad and some leave me happy. What I like to do is to write the ones I like either in my journal or on a sticky note. That way, I’ll be able to remember the ones that really took my breath away. Below are some of my favourite quotes and I hope that they will truly inspire you. Enjoy! Other favourite quotes include:  “Experience is simply the name we give…

My top 5 favourite books

I love to read and I can proudly say I’m a book nerd. Reading is something that I truly enjoy doing in my free time. I love all sorts of authors and all genres of books. Come to think of it, there have only been a couple books that I’ve read that I didn’t like. Reading has become a significant part of my life.  I’ve fallen in love with countless fictional characters and I can dictate so many amazing quotes that I’ve read. I couldn’t possibly imagine living a life without books and without reading. I like to think that reading is also like travelling. You’re transported to a completely new environment and are surrounded by completely new people. It’s easy to just leave all your heavy baggage behind and live a new life for a while. Maybe you’ll be a detective solving a new murder case, a heroine trying…
