My Favourite 5 Cities

I love travelling. I love it so much. I’ve been fortunate enough to travel all across the world, from the United States all the way to Australia. I love visiting new places and meeting new people. Every city has something different to offer so I never get bored.  There’s always something new to see, something new to do or something new to eat(one of my favourite parts is trying the local food.) The people are different and the overall atmosphere is different. When my family goes to visit  a new place, we don’t dawdle. From morning to night, we don’t stop walking so we can hit as many landmarks or “points of interest” as possible. Every city that I’ve been to, I loved. But I still managed to pick out a top 5. These are the cities which I would go back to visit in a heartbeat. 1. Venice, Italy I…

My Favourite Ways to use Sticky Notes

I think I have a serious obsession with sticky notes. I’m naturally just drawn to all the different shapes and sizes and most importantly, all the different colours. Personally, I think I just love how professional they look. Sticky notes are a great thing to have on your desk or in your bag, whether you’re a student or someone working at a job. It helps to brighten up your workspace and there are tons and tons of different styles, shapes, and sizes to choose from. Above all, they’re convenient and can be used for almost anything! If you’re on the go and you’re suddenly struck with a moment of genius, you can take out a sticky note and jot it down. If you feel like you have too much to remember, you can write them all down on a sticky note and stick it by your bed or on your…

How to keep a Gratitude Journal

grat·i·tude ˈɡradəˌt(y)o͞od/ noun the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness     I love the idea of a gratitude journal. I feel that it’s so important to notice the small things in life and to cherish them.  Everybody has good days and bad days. We’re always going to have bad days; those are inevitable. It helps if you have moments of happiness and love to cling onto when the bad days are crashing down on you. That’s what a gratitude journal is all about. It’s a place where you can write things you saw, things you heard, or things you did in this notebook. It doesn’t even have to be a paragraph; it can just be a sentence or two. You don’t even have to write in it every day. Studies actually shows that  you’ll be more happy if you only write in…

DIY Polaroid Wall

I love taking polaroids so much, whether it’s when I’m out with my friends or halfway across the world traveling. It’s such a great way to document memories and it looks so cute. But if you’re like me and you’ve taken so many that they can’t even fit in an album anymore, there’s a problem. If you’re looking for a way to proudly show off your adventures, you’ve come to the right place. I came across the idea of a polaroid clothesline online. What you will need: -Clothespins (I like the wooden ones; there’s a nice feel to it) -String -Push pins (preferably clear ones) -Obviously, lots of polaroids! To start, I took one pushpin and tied one end of the string onto it. I then began to string the clothespins on. I chose to do 20 per line, but if you want to do more or less, that’s completely…

How to Keep a Journal

All my life, I’ve been nagged by parents and by peers to start keeping a journal, especially because I’ve told them I’m an aspiring writer. In the past, I would always start with a brand new notebook, write a few entries and then completely forget about it a couple weeks later. I was never motivated enough to stay with it until the end. Starting from January, that all changed. I went out to purchase a new notebook and I put pen to paper. What surprised me the most was that I actually loved to write in it. Once I started rambling, I couldn’t stop. Some of my entries were about 3 pages long. It was such a great way to relieve stress and other emotions. You could yell as loud as you wanted in there, and no one could tell you to be quiet. It was almost like an escape…
