Inspiration center

I’m a huge fan of quotes. When I have some time or when I have nothing else to do, I’ll go online and search for some of the most famous or inspirational quotes. I can spend hours doing this. With each quote I find, I’m even more inspired. Sometimes, if I find a really good quote, I’ll just sit there at my desk completely in awe of the quote. Some leave me speechless. Some leave me thinking. Some leave me sad and some leave me happy. What I like to do is to write the ones I like either in my journal or on a sticky note. That way, I’ll be able to remember the ones that really took my breath away. Below are some of my favourite quotes and I hope that they will truly inspire you. Enjoy! Other favourite quotes include:  “Experience is simply the name we give…

My favourite magazines

I absolutely love reading magazines. When I have some ‘me’ time, I’ll just pick up a magazine and start flipping through it. I get super excited each time a new issue comes in the mail and I’ll read the entire thing right away. I’m interested in different types of magazine, however, most of them revolve somehow around celebrities, fashion and beauty. In fact, I plan on getting an internship at a magazine company in the future. I love the design aspect of it, the glamorous pictures, the talk of the new ‘it’ trends, the superb articles, etc. Below are some of my recent favourite magazines. 1. Flare (Fashion, Beauty)  I recently just started subscribing to this magazine and I can already say that I’m in love with it. First off, the subscription price is incredibly cheap for such a high-quality magazine. It’s DEFINITELY a bang for your buck. There are some…

The Lokai Bracelet

Just recently, I purchased the Lokai Bracelet online. For those who haven’t heard of it before, it’s a bracelet that contains elements from the highest and lowest points on Earth. The white bead contains water from the top of Mount Everest while the black bead contains mud from the Dead Sea. The other clear beads in between are simply made of rubber. The bracelet is $18 USD but after converting it to Canadian dollars AND paying for shipping, it was $28 CD. The cost is the only downside to this bracelet, as it is definitely not cheap. But I love the message of this bracelet. It’s all about finding balance in life. Sometimes, you’ll feel like you’re on top of the world and that nothing can take you down. It’s at this time that you have to stay humble and not brag. Other times, you’ve hit a low and you…

My top 5 favourite books

I love to read and I can proudly say I’m a book nerd. Reading is something that I truly enjoy doing in my free time. I love all sorts of authors and all genres of books. Come to think of it, there have only been a couple books that I’ve read that I didn’t like. Reading has become a significant part of my life.  I’ve fallen in love with countless fictional characters and I can dictate so many amazing quotes that I’ve read. I couldn’t possibly imagine living a life without books and without reading. I like to think that reading is also like travelling. You’re transported to a completely new environment and are surrounded by completely new people. It’s easy to just leave all your heavy baggage behind and live a new life for a while. Maybe you’ll be a detective solving a new murder case, a heroine trying…

5 Cities I want to visit in 2015

Recently, I did a post on my top 5 favourite cities. This post will be dedicated to 5 cities that I wish to visit this year. I found it extremely difficult to pick JUST 5. If I could, I would travel the world. Most of the cities that I’ve picked are in Europe, which is no coincidence. I consider Europe to be the best continent for travelling. These have been on my list for years and years and hopefully, I’ll be lucky enough to travel there this year! 1. Amsterdam, Netherlands Amsterdam is definitely at the top of my list. It’s pretty similar to Venice, in my opinion, so I have every reason to want to visit. I was inspired to go here after watching the movie, The Fault in Our Stars, which was partly set in Amsterdam. The views are incredible, there’s so much to see and do and there’s…
